TRANS RADICALS WANT FEMINIST TO BE SILENCED BY COURT
A coalition composed of a politician, a journalist and an LGBTQ activist group is attempting to silence French blogger and women’s rights advocate Dora Moutot for denying that biological men can be women.
Their latest attack includes dragging Moutot into civil court for alleged “public insults towards a person because of their gender identity “and “inciting hatred or violence against an identifiable group.”
Moutot, who has been labelled a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist” (TERF) has been open about her belief that it is impossible for a man to be a woman, no matter which way they identified.
Among those attempting to get Moutot in trouble with the law are transgender mayor of Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes Marie Cau and journalist Hanneli Victoire.
In an October 2022 exchange on live television, Moutot reaffirmed her belief that mayor Cau was, in fact, a man because he was born a biological male despite identifying as a woman.
“No, for me, Marie Cau is a man, he is a transfeminine man,” said Moutot.
When elected, Cau received accolades for being France’s first “transgender mayor.”
The group “Stop Homophobia” has also joined in on the legal challenge, claiming that Moutot spread “transphobic hatred” against both Cau and Victoire. In the latter case, they point to a post in which Moutot called Victoire a “trans-identified woman” in a blog post.
Moutot is accused of “discriminatory remarks, used on purpose to hurt their recipients, by reminding them of the rejection to which they are subject in French society.”
“And the more this rejection is present, the more the insult will have force. However, transphobia is still very strongly rooted, with many transgender people living in a situation of discrimination, violence and harassment on a daily basis,” claims the civil complaint.
POLICE FOIL EXTREME LEFT ATTACK ON TRAIN
Germany’s federal police force has averted a far-left attack on Berlin’s infrastructure at the last minute.
Helicopter surveys of a critical infrastructure site uncovered two people between trains allegedly attempting to carry out an attack on a railway line in Adlershof.
Thermal imaging cameras spotted the pair at around 12:30 a.m. and the two were subsequently apprehended by police.
The suspects were identified as Brandenburg resident Daniel K. and Schleswig-Holstein resident Eva H.
Police have been aware of the individuals due to their past left-wing extremist activities. They were already being suspected of breaching the peace, public incitement to commit crimes, freeing prisoners, trespassing and assaulting police.
SPAIN RULES BESTIALITY IS OKAY IF ANIMAL HAS NO INJURIES
Changes by the ruling socialist government in Spain to the country’s penal code legalize bestiality as long as the perpetrator doesn’t injure the animal or subjects it to “sexual exploitation.”
The bill, which has been passed by the Spanish parliament, overrides Article 337 which explicitly criminalized all forms of bestiality.
The Spanish Animalist Party Against Mistreatment of Animals (PACMA) has condemned the new law saying it will allow judges to go easy on criminals found guilty of bestiality.
“The reform of the Penal Code on animal abuse will grant impunity for those who mistreat animals, since now judges will be able to impose a fine instead of prison terms,” tweeted PACMA.
“DEEPLY DISTURBED” THAT MOTHERS TAKE TIME OFF TO STAY WITH INFANTS
The head of one of Sweden’s largest public and private sector unions, the Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees (TCO), has said that she is “deeply disturbed” that mothers are opting for more parental leave than fathers.
TCO chair Therese Svanstrom responded in a press release to a recent data release that found that women opt to leave work for nine months more than men on average to stay at home with their children during infancy.
“I am deeply concerned and surprised that we have not come further. We know that unequal parental leave affects women's career and income negatively,” said Svanstrom.
The Swedish study found that women on average take 8.6 months of parental leave in the first two years of their children’s life while men take up to 3.4 months of parental leave.
800K CAREGIVERS COME OUT AGAINST ASSISTED SUICIDE
At least 13 organizations representing nearly 800,000 medical and care professionals have signed onto a declaration denouncing the French government’s plans to legalize active assisted suicide.
Last year, President Emmanuel Macron announced that he would hold a national debate on expanding French law to allow for active euthanasia.
As it stands, French law prevents doctors from actively bringing about the death of a patient via drugs or other methods. Physicians can only sedate patients until the time of death.
According to the outlet Le Figaro, the care professionals insist that their jobs are “incompatible with the practice of medically assisted death” and that killing patients with drugs would be an “ethical” problem that strikes at the roots of their oaths.
