AfD WILL FORM GOVERNMENT AFTER DISTRICT ELECTION UPSET
The Alternative for Germany (AfD), a right-wing populist and immigration restrictionist party, has achieved a historic breakthrough in the district election of Sonneberg, Thuringia.
Candidate, Robert Sesselmann, won the run-off against the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) candidate with 52.8 percent of the votes, becoming the first AfD member to hold a higher office in Germany.
The result was a shock for the political establishment, which had tried to prevent the AfD from gaining power and influence.
Often labelled as far-right, the AfD, has been ostracized and condemned by the mainstream parties and the media. The party has also faced legal challenges and attempts to ban it.
However, the AfD has managed to attract a large number of voters who are dissatisfied with the current government’s policies on immigration, climate change, and the European Union.
The party has also capitalized on the discontent and frustration caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic and social consequences.
The AfD’s victory in Sonneberg was met with outrage and dismay by the other parties, especially the Greens and the Social Democrats (SPD).

GERMANY’S STATE-FUNDED “DIVERSE, FEMINIST” PORN SITE
The Saxon state government in Germany has admitted that it has financed a “diverse and ethical” porn portal with public funds, sparking controversy and criticism from conservatives.
The porn portal, called “Porn Better”, received around 25,000 euros from the “InnoStartBonus” funding program, which aims to support innovative start-ups.
The founder of the portal, Esti Krüger, said she did not expect that her project would qualify for the funding.
She said that her portal is different from other porn sites, as it focuses on ethical and diverse content that respects the performers and the viewers.
According to the portal’s website, “Porn Better” evaluates videos from over 20 providers based on criteria such as feminist values, diversity of representation, consent, and fair payment.
The portal claims to be the only porn site funded by Germany and the first fair porn comparison site.
However, not everyone is happy with the state government’s support for the portal. Martina Jost, a member of the state parliament from the right-wing party “Alternative for Germany” (AfD), questioned the legitimacy and morality of using tax money for such a project. She said that the funding was a waste of resources and an insult to the taxpayers.

Controversial presidential candidate and author Éric Zemmour faced a hostile reception in Limoges, where he came to present his latest book “Reconquête”.
A far-left union activist was arrested after allegedly hurling anti-semitic insults towards Zemmmour on the train, while dozens of protesters gathered in front of the town hall to denounce his presence.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, when Éric Zemmour was traveling by train from Paris to Limoges.
According to witnesses, a man named Frédéric Tronche, who works as a railwayman and is a member of the executive committee of the CGT cheminots de la Haute-Vienne, approached him and made anti-Semitic remarks.
The police intervened and arrested Tronche on the platform of the Bénédictins station.
HYPOCRITE CLIMATE ACTIVIST SLAMMED FOR FLYING TO MEXICO FOR VACATION
A radical climate extremist who has blocked roads and tunnels is being called out on social media for hypocrisy after flying to Mexico for a two-month vacation.
Renovate Switzerland member, Max Voegtli, was exposed by a passenger who saw him on a short-distance flight from Zurich to Paris.
“I flew from Zurich to Paris today. And guess who was on board? Max Voegtli from Renovate,” wrote one observer.
Voegtli admitted taking the short trip to Paris before heading to Mexico, where he plans to travel in Central America.
“Yes, I am in Mexico to travel for two months in Central America. I am aware of the privileges that entails, and it was not an easy decision,” saod Voegtli.
He said that he was aware of his privileges and that he tried to find other ways to travel, but couldn’t.
However, many people criticized him for his hypocrisy and double standards. They said that he should have taken the train from Zurich to Paris instead of flying.
Renovate Switzerland is a radical group that advocates for a transformation of society and economy to combat climate change.
It has organized several actions that have disrupted traffic and commerce in Switzerland, such as blocking highways, bridges, and the Gotthard Tunnel.
BIOLOGICAL MALE INTIMIDATES HOMELESS WOMEN IN IRISH SHELTER
Several homeless women in Ireland have spoken out about their discomfort and fear of sharing their accommodation with a trans-identified male, who they say has behaved aggressively and inappropriately towards them.
The women, who were interviewed by journalist Paddy O’Gorman, said that the man, who dresses as a woman and claims to be trans, was allowed to sleep, change, and shower in the same facilities as them.
They said that he would strip in front of them, wear revealing underwear, and use sexist language.
The women also said that he had thrown a mug at a staff member and hit another woman in the face, causing her serious injuries. The individual in question was eventually removed from the facility.
“(The biological male) was threatening a lot of people and throwing her weight around, like she got kicked out because she threw a mug and hit the staff member,” said one woman.
They said that employees at the shelter were not trained or equipped to deal with such situations, and that the homeless services did not respect their rights or dignity as women.
“We’d be the ones to lose our bed,” said a woman about the fear of retaliation for raising the issue.
