CNN INSTRUCTED GUEST TO CALL FRANCE RACIST, CLAIMS LAWYER
French lawyer and media personality Najwa El Haïté is claiming that the Democrat-aligned American broadcast network CNN instructed her to “spit on France” by calling her nation racist in an unreleased TV interview.
El Haïté made the revelation in a program with Sud Radio and said she did not comply with the network’s demands to malign France.
“I was contacted by CNN to spit on France,” claimed El Haïté.
“Each time the presenter reminded me: ‘Tell the truth, France is racist!’ My interview was not broadcast. I did not comply to their demanded speech.”
In it’s coverage of the French riots, CNN has sought to portray the country as inherently racist and biased towards minorities.
One July 1 article lamented the fact that the French constitution was “colorblind” and had a “vigorous eadherence to equality.”
CNN even went so far as quoting a member of France’s far-left France Unbowed party.
BRAZIL’S LULA HAPPY TO BE CALLED A COMMUNIST
At the 2023 Forum of São Paulo, far-left President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said he was happy to be called a “communist” by his opponents.
A video circulating online of the President’s address to the forum, which he founded alongside communist dictator Fidel Castro, shows him making the controversial remarks.
“We would be offended if they called us Nazis, neofascists, terrorists. They accuse us of being communists, as if we would be offended by that. We are not offended,” said Lula.
“That doesn't offend us. It makes us proud many times. And many times we know that we deserve to be called that.”
Lula has recently received criticism for extending his support to Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and claiming that the human rights abuses in the country were simply a “narrative” expressed by opponents of the country.
“Comrade Maduro, you know the narrative that was built against Venezuela, of anti-democracy and authoritarianism. I think it's up to Venezuela to show its narrative, to make people change their minds,” said Lula.
“And I think that, from everything we've talked about, your narrative is going to be infinitely better than the narrative they've been telling against you... Our opponents are going to have to apologize for the damage they've done in Venezuela.”
WOKE ANGLICAN ARCHBISHOP SAYS “OUR FATHER” IS PROBLEMATIC
The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, has suggested that the opening words of the Lord's Prayer, which have been used by Christians for centuries, may be "problematic" because they imply a “patriarchal” view of deity.
He made this remark in his inaugural speech to the General Synod of the Church of England, sparking controversy among Anglicans.
“I know that the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experiences with earthly fathers have been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have suffered far too much from an oppressive patriarchal influence on life,” claimed Cottrell.
Cottrell has been accused of bending to progressive and feminist groups, who advocate for “gender-neutral language” to refer to God.
However, many Anglicans have accused the Archbishop of catering to the current woke mania plaguing society by contradicting the biblical teaching of Jesus Christ.
One of the critics of Cottrell's statement was Chris Sugton, the chairman of the group "Anglican Mainstream.”
He challenged Cottrell's authority and asked: “Is the Archbishop of York claiming that Jesus was wrong, or that Jesus was unaware of pastoral care? It seems emblematic of the approach taken by some church leaders to look to culture rather than Scripture.”
HUNGARIAN PARLIAMENT BARS BIOLOGICAL MEN FROM CLAIMING PENSION FOR WORKING MOTHERS
An amendment to Hungary’s special social security pension law for working mothers would limit the eligibility for the "Women 40" pension only to those who have worked for 40 years as women.
The amendment effectively bars biological males who transition into women from claiming the special benefit.
As submitted by Zsolt Semjén (Christian Democratic People's Party) and Gergely Gulyás (Fidesz) on Thursday, the change aims to clarify the original intention of the law, which grants the special pension to women who have contributed to society by working and raising children.
The draft law states that the special pension is based on the sex assigned at birth, which is in accordance with the Hungarian constitution.
It also rejects any possibility of sex change, which is not recognized by Hungarian law, and argues that it would be unfair and abusive to allow people who have worked as men for most of their lives to claim the special pension by changing their sex identity.
GERMAN GOV WANTS 1.5 MILLION MORE MIGRANTS PER YEAR
Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced his intention to drastically increase the immigration rate in Germany to cope with the demographic challenges of an aging population and a low birth rate.
He said that Germany needs to attract 1.5 million immigrants per year, based on the calculations of the Council of Economic Experts, an independent advisory body for the federal government.
The Council of Economic Experts argued that Germany requires a large influx of newcomers to sustain its economic and social development.
This is a controversial proposal, as Germany has experienced difficulties in integrating the large number of refugees and asylum seekers that arrived in 2015, which was around 1 million.
Germany has since faced social unrest and the emergence of the AfD as a result.
According to official data, 45% of the people who receive unemployment benefits in Germany are foreigners, which suggests that many of the immigrants are not participating in the labor market anyway, but rather relying on the social security system.
