HUNGARY PROMISES “NO COMPROMISE” WHEN PROTECTING KIDS FROM GENDER IDEOLOGY
Hungary’s Justice Minister Judit Varga pledged to defend the Hungarian Constitution and protect children from gender propaganda as the country faces pressure from the European Commission over its stance on LGBTQ issues.
While speaking in Brussels last week, Varga reiterated Hungary’s position on the issue.
“The protection of children is not up for negotiation,” said Varga.
Varga went on to claim that Hungary’s Child Protection Act has been targeted by gender ideologues and their proponents in international institutions.
The Act guarantees the rights of identity for children according to their sex at birth and enshrines the status of men and women as mothers and fathers.
“The growing forces in favor of the woke ideology have managed to convince 15 EU member states to take action against Hungary in the ongoing EU court case. But all they have achieved is to make the deep divisions within the European Union more obvious,” said Varga.
“In addition to Hungary having solid legal arguments based on the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the Union in the current proceedings, 3.7 million Hungarians expressed their support for the Child Protection Act in a referendum last April.”
Varga pledged to introduce further measures to protect the rights of children and to make Hungary have the “strictest child protection legislation in Europe.
“For us, there is no compromise on child protection,” said Varga.
GERMAN STATE REPORTS EIGHT RAPES A DAY
Sexual assaults have exploded in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
According to statistics released by the state’s Ministry of Interior in response to a question by Alternative for Germany (AfD), 2,949 rapes were reported to police in 2021 – or eight incidents every single day.
The state has seen an explosion in the number of sexual assaults – nearly 600 more than the amount reported last year.
Data shows that "gang rapes have also surged by over 43% from 172 in 2020 to 246 in 2021.
North Rhine-Westphalia includes the cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf.
RESTAURANT OFFERS 3D-PRINTED MEAT TO DINERS
A Swedish restaurant chain is offering 3D-printed meat on its menu for the first time ever.
Pinchos has invested money alongside the company Redefine Meat to create 3D-printed meat composed of soy proteins, wheat, vegetable oils, spices, and dried vegetables.
The restaurant hopes that the product, called “New Meat,” will offset carbon emissions and convince people to switch to alternative protein sources.
According to the company, the product is “strikingly like ordinary meat in terms of taste, texture, and aroma.”
“The taste and texture of the 3D-printed meat mimics traditional meat to a very high degree and I think many meat lovers will find it difficult to feel the difference when they taste it,” said Pinchos food development manager Per Larsson.
Pinchos CEO Patrik Back has said that the company is in the process of revising its menu to include even more alternative protein options.
ITALY DEMANDS EU REQUIRES VACCINE DAMAGE COMPENSATION FROM BIG PHARMA
Italian Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci asked the European Union to renegotiate vaccine contracts with major pharmaceutical companies to include compensation for side effects.
Schillaci made the request while speaking before the European Health Council, saying that the companies themselves should be responsible for vaccine damage payments and not member states.
"It is essential that the European Commission, when renegotiating the advanced purchase agreements, review the clause which charges the Member States with the compensation and/or indemnity due for the damages caused by the vaccines, as well as the legal costs incurred by the pharmaceutical manufacturers in the individual proceedings,” said Schillaci.
“Since it is not reasonable for the Member States to bear this burden, especially after the ordinary marketing authorization of the individual vaccine.”
CRIME SURGES AFTER CITY TURNS OFF STREET LIGHTS FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Crime has surged in a northeast France community after local politicians decided to turn off public streetlights during the night to reduce electricity usage.
As of November, streetlights in Sérémange-Erzange have been shut off between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m..
According to director general of municipal services Frédéric Guériot, the city had to reverse its decision after residents felt unsafe and a string of car thefts.
“The inhabitants have been victims of damage on several occasions. A gang turned, five to seven cars were found on chocks, the wheels had been dismantled,” said Guériot.
“:The objective was to preserve biodiversity and the environment and to make savings on energy consumption. But we really had no other choice but to restore the lighting, the population had a strong feeling of insecurity.”
Police in Thionville, which neighbours Sérémange-Erzange, said that criminals have taken advantage of the lack of light at night.
“The absence of lighting at night greatly facilitates the work of certain ill-intentioned people, and it complicates the use of video surveillance, it is all black on the images,” an official statement reads.
