WOKE MOB TARGETS GYNECOLOGIST FOR REFUSING TO SEE MALE PATIENT
A French gynecologist is the victim of a smear campaign after he declined to see a biological male patient who identifies as a woman.
The controversy erupted when Dr. Victor Acharian declined to see a transgender woman for consultation on the grounds that he does not specialize in male anatomy.
In response to this refusal, the doctor faced backlash on social media and was targeted by the activist SOS Homophobia association, which announced its intention to file a complaint against him.
Dr. Acharian's secretary, who was involved in the refusal, described encountering "very aggressive" behavior from the individuals seeking the consultation. They went so far as to label the doctor as transphobic.
In his defense, Dr. Acharian explained that he lacked the specialized training required to provide care to individuals who have transitioned to male.
Professor Philippe Deruelle, a gynecologist and the secretary general of the National College of Gynecologists and Obstetricians (CNGOF), came to the defense of his colleague.
While supporting Dr. Acharian, Professor Deruelle also emphasized the importance of providing appropriate care to transgender individuals.
G20 POLICY RECOMMENDATION INCLUDES DIGITAL ID PLEDGE
The recent G20 summit in India include an official policy proposal to adopt digital identities and digital currency.
According to The Blaze, the proposals were part of a broader recommendation for "Digital Public Infrastructure," including digital ID, payments, and data exchange in the financial sector sparking privacy concerns among some.
"Digital IDs could further financial inclusion, especially in low- and middle-income countries, where insufficient documentation is often a barrier to account ownership,” reads the document.
"Inclusive access rules by digital ID systems and reasonable costs for both public and private entities would enable broad adoption of these solutions by different types of providers."
Ursula von der Leyen, the EU Commission President, passionately advocated for digital ID based on COVID-19 passport systems during the summit. She emphasized the necessity of establishing a framework for responsible AI, akin to climate change governing bodies.
"Many of you are familiar with the COVID-19 digital certificate. The EU developed it for itself. The model was so functional and so trusted that 51 countries on four continents adopted it for free,” said von der Leyen.
"The future is digital. I passed two messages to the G20. We should establish a framework for safe, responsible AI, with a similar body as the [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change]. Digital public infrastructures are an accelerator of growth. They must be trusted, interoperable & open to all."
23-YEAR-OLD DIES AFTER BEING SHOT BY STRAY KALASHNIKOV BULLET IN FRANCE
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, a tragic incident shook the city of Marseille, France as a 24-year-old young woman succumbed to her injuries after being struck in the head by a stray bullet while sitting at home in her apartment.
The victim, identified as Socayna, had been battling for her life for two days in the hospital before succumbing to her injuries.
The young woman had been working on her computer in the bedroom of her apartment, a seemingly ordinary evening, when tragedy struck. A Kalashnikov bullet pierced through the walls, striking her in the head.
The Marseille prosecutor's office issued a press release detailing the horrifying circumstances of the incident, stating that "the bullet having struck her passed through a wooden plywood located at the bottom of the bay window." Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, Socayna was declared brain dead.
Dominique Laurens, the public prosecutor of Marseille, expressed her condolences and outrage at the incident, emphasizing that Socayna was not the intended target.
The investigation into the incident reveals a sequence of events that adds further complexity to this tragedy. The initial shootings occurred near a pharmacy, a known gathering spot for young people and a location associated with the sale of narcotics.
After targeting this area, the shooters indiscriminately fired shots into the air, which tragically led to Socayna's death.
GERMANY AXES HYDROGEN TRAINS DUE TO HIGH OPERATIONAL COSTS
Germany’s state-owned railway company in Lower Saxony, LNVG, is pulling the plug on the world's first hydrogen train system after just one year of operation.
The reason? An official analysis found that running low emission hydrogen trains costs a lot more than electric one.
The project had a bumpy ride from the start, with delays and logistical issues in switching from diesel to hydrogen-powered trains. When it was launched in August 2022, it was seen as a groundbreaking step toward cleaner transportation and climate neutrality, but reality quickly caught up.
An analysis conducted by the federal state revealed that hydrogen trains are a whopping 80% more expensive to operate than electric trains.
This financial gap forced the discontinuation of the hydrogen train project in Lower Saxony.
Germany's experience with hydrogen trains is not unique. Other countries, like the United States and Italy, are also exploring hydrogen as a transportation option.
Despite this the German government is investing in hydrogen train projects abroad, including in Namibia.
AUSTRIAN ACTOR AVOIDS JAIL IN CHILD PORN CONVICTION
A verdict against well-known Austrian actor Florian Teichtmeister has drawn outrage in Austria for its leniency in the case which involved a whopping 23 terabytes of graphic child pornography.
Despite the seizure of staggering amounts of illegal content and 110 grams of cocaine, Teichmeister received a suspended sentence of two years on probation and conditional monitoring.
One striking aspect of the case has been the reserved reporting by certain sections of the media, particularly left-leaning outlets who called for leniency for the actor.
The actor's "impeccable lifestyle" and his struggles with drug abuse and violence towards his former partner have, in some quarters, been downplayed or overlooked entirely. Critics argue that the focus should be squarely on the heinous nature of the crimes committed.
Furthermore, Teichtmeister's alleged physical assaults on his former partner and his substantial cocaine possession have raised concerns about the decision to not prosecute the actor further.
