APRIL LINK DUMP
Green MP apologizes for comparing black people to transgender community + anti-drag queen demonstrations in Austria + Emmanuel Macron heckled in the Netherlands + MORE!
THE OUTER EDGE is committed to bringing unheard of global news to a fresh audience now more than ever.
I have already begun to see stories we first reported in English make it into the mainstream.
On May 8, THE OUTER EDGE #47 featured the story of male-born transgender racer Halba Diouf who won the women’s 200 metre race in Nice, France beating out other women competitors in English. A few days later the story was being talked about by Reuters and by Canadian author Jordan Peterson.
Similarly, it was on Feb. 19 in THE OUTER EDGE #27 where we first brought to your attention the plight of French women’s rights activist Dora Moutot and how she was being sued by a transgender mayor for speaking out about the issue. UK’s The Times didn’t cover that story until April 1, while UnHerd only reported on the issue on Mar. 17.
It was in that very issue that we also reported on the little-known changes to Spain’s criminal law which ruled that bestiality was legal as long as the perpetrator doesn’t injure the animal or subjects it to “sexual exploitation.” That story, too, was soon picked up by other outlets.
This newsletter is having an impact in the global conversation. You can be sure that by reading THE OUTER EDGE you will have a head start on international news before it becomes mainstream.
Every week we scan international outlets in over a dozen languages to deliver you the best product possible so that you can be informed of the bigger picture.
Besides you, our dedicated subscribers, we have no other big donors or government grants. You can rest assured that this is an entirely independent organization.
That is why it’s crucial that you spread the word and help THE OUTER EDGE grow. Please consider buying your friends or family a gift subscription or if you haven’t already sign up for a membership yourself for as little as $5 CAD per month.
All of the funds received will go to making this the most polished and well-researched product for global news available on Substack.
Without further ado, here are all of the links that didn’t make it into the newsletter last month. Enjoy the over a dozen links of stories you might have missed otherwise!
